Mount Arafat, also known as Jabal ar-Rahmah or the Mountain of Mercy, is a significant granodiorite hill located approximately 20 kilometers southeast of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. This natural landmark is central to the Hajj pilgrimage, where millions of Muslims gather on the surrounding plain and the hill itself on the Day of Arafah, the ninth day of Dhu al-Hijjah.
